You must sterilize each pacifier you purchase before using it. You can soak BIBS pacifiers in boiled water for 5 minutes before the first use. In subsequent uses, it will be sufficient to sterilize by pouring boiling water over the pacifier and leaving the pacifier to dry for five minutes. Since BIBS pacifiers have air flow, it is normal for water to fill the pacifier. After the water inside the pacifier cools, you can squeeze the pacifier tip to drain the water. Rubber pacifiers stretch and grow as they are used, so there will always be a size difference between your newly purchased pacifier and your used pacifier at the beginning. Rubber pacifiers should be renewed every 4-6 weeks.
